Demon's Lust: making a harem with lust system

Chapter 113: Symphony of destruction 2

Chapter 113: Symphony of destruction 2

During his fight with the two immortals, Ray had stored some pure magic without anyone noticing; breaking the cage from inside was an easy task from the beginning, yet he decided to follow the flow of the events. The parasite was not the type to jump in and just kill everyone; he had to take his time and make a show out of it.

Aria’s domain went beyond his beliefs of the things magic could do; such powers were godlike. An old jealousy took over his emotions. Her attacks were not optimized, and she obviously didn’t train in her domain, and why would she? On Earth and Mars, Ray doubted anyone could come out of her domain alive.

Parasite’s power level acted exactly as he had predicted; someone that had maintained himself at the door of death and even noble devils were scared of couldn’t be on the same level as a human. The other thing was pure magic. Ray didn’t know if it was his magic or if it belonged to old times, before the system could specify one’s magic type. Both in theory and actions, pure magic was the strongest type of them all.

Finding the best moment, he interfered, saving Aria’s half-broken body. Her stake was in a pathetic shape; Ray slowly put her on the ground and returned to his plan.

"You want to fight me, Ray?" The parasitic sound mimicked something that looked like a laugh. "Do you think another human can save you?"

Ray didn’t think the leader of the goddess squad was going to make a difference; the parasite’s magic simply overpowered anything that they had on earth. Only creatures with the same power as him maybe could stand a chance against it. And Ray barely had seen the surface of his powers. "God knows about his domain and his equipment!" Ray’s imagination ran wild at the thought of having such powers.

"I have made peace with it, but let’s do this like two men: no magic, no bullshit. Whoever wins gets to survive." Ray opened his hands for the challenge; his intention was clear as day.

"What is your plan? In your mind, you always plan to do this or that. What are you thinking right now? There is nothing that can help you."

Ray said with an emotionless face, "I would enjoy as much damage as I can cause to you; your one million crystals are already gone. Beating the shit out of you before I die is a tempting imagination."

The parasite stepped forward. "We both know it’s a lie."

"Yet you are going to take it."

A red sword came to being in his hands; its surface seemed alive as the blade kept moving like a liquid. "Yes."

Ray summoned Orcus; without any fear, he charged toward the mountain in front of him. With a swing, Orcus attacked from the left, but it simply was blocked by the red blade.

Parasite’s punch came for his face; dodging it, Ray pulled back Orcus and went straight for the head. While in the midair, the world itself came down on him as the parasite’s kick threw him a few meters away.

A change happened inside of Ray; suddenly his blood skull stopped working, maintaining his body.

"It’s called anti-healing; if those idiots had the smallest knowledge about it, you would be long dead by now." His voice belittled everyone on earth.

Ray cleared some blood out of her face. "Anti-healing? How come I never had heard about it..." He thought for a second before attacking again; his flesh exploded in parts of his body, but his body could hold out for a few minutes.

The red blade came from above. Ray didn’t know if he could block it, so he decided to dodge it. With a turn to the left, he counterattacked his legs, but before it could land, a big hand held his throat.

He tried to break free, but the grasp on his neck became tighter as the parasite slowly raised him to the sky.

"This is your end, blood angel." The ancient voice continued as he tightened his grasp: "From the start that I met your life, you thought you were better than everyone else; even with your shortcomings, your luck carried you to the top of this small planet. Your dream was to reach Mars and become strong. At this final moment, let me clear out the truth: you will get near there, and you will die by my hands while no one will ever remember you!"

Losing the hope to get free, Ray stared into the golden eyes. "You will remember me!"

"With this pathetic show that you made?"

"The show has not begun!" Ray, with a laugh, opened his mind to anything that wanted to enter; at once thousands of angels and devils from afar that were watching the battle from across the galaxy invaded his mind.

Beneath all the minds, Ray started to laugh like a crazy man; his face was melting from the sudden surge of minds, yet he continued to laugh.

The parasite penetrated his chest with the red blade; dark blood came and sprayed his golden armor. At the last moment, the blood angel put everything he had worked towards at risk; now everyone could know where his planet was.

He pushed the blade deeper; his own physical body turned into dust slowly over time as he watched the blood angel lose the last remaining life in him.

At the very last moment, faced with the death again, Ray was not scared. If this was his fate or not, he had tried his best, not coming out of it alive; still, he achieved things to the best of his ability. "This world was never a failure; this is not the death I deserved, but in the end it’s still my own fault. My sight was so little; in the vast universe, my sight was only to the places that I could see."

"I wish I could see more of this universe."

He tried to smile, but he had long lost his face.

The earth has won the festival.

Ray died.
